The Minister of Health and Human Services, Welcomed a delegation from the Somali Banks Association in his office

Today In his office, the Minister of Health and Human Services, Dr. Ali Haji Aden, met with a Somali Banks Association delegation. The meeting was attended by the Minister of State for the Ministry of Health, Dr. Maryam Mohamed Hussein, as well as the Deputy Minister of the Ministry, Dr. Mohamed Hassan Mohamed, and senior advisors.

The Somali Banks Association team briefed on the efforts they want to participate in to improve the country’s health services. The Somali Banks Association also complimented the Minister for recognizing that banks have historically played a significant role in the growth of the health sector in the country. The Somali Banks Association has emphasized that they will support financing Health Projects, which are areas that should be promoted because our society requires health services in all areas, and they have described this as fulfilling their responsibility to their community (Corporate Social Responsibility) CSR.

Finally, the Minister requested the heads of the Somali Banks Union to invest in the Health sector in order to simplify the Health Service.
